Susan Bowen

President

As President of Cogeco Peer 1, Susan provides leadership and direction for the company globally, with a strong focus on sustaining revenue growth and driving operational efficiency, while building a business whose goal is to help its customers run their businesses, so they can unlock their own potential. With over 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, Susan is a transformational leader with deep expertise in operations, sales and general management. Prior to taking on global leadership, Susan was Vice President and General Manager of Cogeco Peer 1, EMEA, where she spearheaded Cogeco Peer 1’s strategic and tactical direction in the region. While leading the EMEA business, Susan earned a reputation as a trusted advisor and leading voice in the technology industry. Spurred on by her experience as one of the only women in her Computer Science classes in the early 90’s, Susan is a passionate advocate for advancing the participation of women in technology. She is Chair of TechUK’s Skills and Diversity Council, and in 2017 was named among the top 50 Most Influential Women in UK IT by Computer Weekly magazine. Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Susan was Chief of Staff UK & Ireland at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), responsible for leading HPE’s UK & Ireland growth plan and SMB programme. Susan has a post-graduate certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich, a Masters certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science, Business Information Systems from the University of Portsmouth. Susan is a Director of the UK Governments sponsored “Tech Talent Charter” as well as a Non-Executive Director for JISC.

Ted Smith

Vice President, Engineering and Operations

Ted Smith: our VP of Engineering and Operations, or as we like to call him, our chief problem solver. A puzzle lover and mathematics major, Ted’s starting hypothesis is that there is always room for improvement. In any business, simple incremental improvements can amount to game-changing achievements. When trying to build an exceptional, reliable and secure IT experience, no problem must be met with complacency. Behind every opportunity for improvement is a chance to make our customers remarkable. Ted is the visionary leader and IT expert that knows how to tackle a good challenge—one that will inspire the best thinking and develop rock-solid relationships, resulting in expert-level results—both in-house and at our customer premises. Some of the internet’s titan companies have turned to Ted to solve their toughest challenges. He also contributed to many milestones within Cogeco Peer 1, from defining the global expansion strategy to integrating acquisitions and developing unique hosting solutions. Ted holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University.

Shenif Visram

Vice President, Finance

Shenif is responsible for financial reporting and planning, decision support, financial operations, sourcing and supply, as well as business intelligence for Cogeco Peer 1’s global footprint. These are the skills Shenif and his team hone for our operations and growth so that we can effectively match our customers’ needs. Expect Shenif to be ahead of his game — because in the IT world things happen fast.

Having spent the bulk of his career in a variety of roles for IBM Canada including Controller, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer in Global Business Services, Shenif is apt to wearing many hats. He has a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and Finance from York University’s Schulich School of Business and is a CPA, CMA.

Bertrand Labelle

Vice President, Marketing

Bertrand is the brand steward of our organization. At the helm of a growing marketing powerhouse while directing global marketing, communications, digital and product development, Bertrand operates in an environment that heavily depends on relationships and trust. Since his arrival at Cogeco Peer 1, he has championed marketing as an accountable cornerstone of the company. By working closely with the entire organization, he ensures that our success is not only measured in sales, but in the strength of our reputation and the development of meaningful customer experiences. Previously at Microsoft, Bertrand held senior positions in national and international sales, marketing, and business development. He succeeded in expanding Microsoft’s footprint to dominate the software services and solutions sector worldwide. Bertrand holds an Executive MBA from University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, and a Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Scott Davis

Vice President, Customer Experience

As a customer experience aficionado, Scott’s mission is to ensure we are human experts, not just IT experts. To remain true to our corporate vision of customer centricity, Scott believes we need to walk the talk of customer experience. He is determined that Cogeco Peer 1 offers the most human experience on the web and our service-focused team brings his vision to fruition. Scott leads a team of more than 160 customer service professionals who always deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. Customer experience is not just about fixing current problems but also anticipating future needs and removing any potential roadblocks. Only when our customers can focus on their full online potential rather than the technicalities, do they truly succeed.
Scott brings more than 25 years of global customer service experience to his role. Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Scott honed his customer service skills and expertise at companies like AT&T, LexisNexis, TMP Worldwide, and Sykes Enterprises. Scott has a degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia.

Cindy Jordan-Ford

Vice President and General Manager, U.S and LATAM

Cindy is responsible for the tactical and strategic direction of the organization in the United States and Latin American regions, overseeing sales, operations and driving revenue growth. Bringing a spirited and focused perspective to the position, she is tasked with enhancing profitability and further driving a culture that embraces innovation and cooperation to ultimately deliver exceptional customer experiences in the region and beyond.

With more than 25 years of experience in IT sales and service leadership, Cindy has an extensive knowledge of the information and communications technology sector. Not afraid to take risks in order to move forward, she believes organizations must focus on excellence both internally and externally to be successful. Working with organizations such as Xerox, Sprint, AT&T, SAVVIS (CenturyLink) and Virtustream Cindy has a long, successful track record of inspiring new levels of innovation and performance, strengthening regional collaboration and driving meaningful customer experiences.

Cindy holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the National Louis University in Chicago.

Jaime Leverton

Vice President and General Manager, CANADA and APAC

Jaime brings a fresh approach to IT with the goal of helping clients unlock their digital potential. Simply put, she is a business enabler. Taking her deep experience in technology and leading successful teams, Jaime will oversee the success of sales and customer management in Canada and the Asia Pacific region. She is focused on expanding the business’ market presence and developing new indirect sales strategies through a network of partners.

With her fast paced, positive and open approach to business, she is a dynamic leader with a proven track record of transforming organizations with creative thinking and strategic execution. Her sales tool belt includes everything from experience in cable, power, racks, cabinets and finance. For more than 15 years, Jaime has worked in various executive roles with National Bank, BlackBerry, Bell Canada and IBM Canada. Drawing upon a wealth of business experience and her extensive knowledge in technology solutions she will ensure service levels remain at the exceptionally high standards the Cogeco Peer 1 brand is known for.

She truly believes that what distinguishes Cogeco Peer 1 from other IT infrastructure providers is its strong Canadian history paired with its global presence. A customer first approach to business operations is part of Jaime’s DNA and she believes that face time with customers is key to solving their business challenges.

Jaime has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing Informatics from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology and Political Science from the University of Ottawa.

Paul Dyck

Vice President, Human Resources

Paul is a strong 'change agent' who uses strategic thinking and a collaborative approach to lead and oversee human resources strategies, programs and policies in Canada and the Asia Pacific region.
With more than 20 years of experience in human resources across a range of industries, including a decade at the executive level, he is now charged with leading the design, development and implementation of state-of-the-art HR initiatives at Cogeco Peer 1. Bringing a diverse knowledge of all facets of human resources, including talent management, compensation design, change management, and organizational transformation, Paul is focused on building impactful initiatives around leadership and management development, engagement, succession planning, training, compensation and recruitment.

As a key member of the executive team, he develops and implements targeted HR programs to build an even stronger world class organization, identifying competency, knowledge and talent challenges, using qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure success globally and to reward high performance at all levels.

Paul has worked in various executive roles with COM DEV International, Toromont Energy, Armstrong Group, Spectrum Signal Processing, Bell Canada, Bombardier and Boeing. He has a Master’s of Industrial Relations (Human Resources) from Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science and Philosophy from Brock University.
